how many lives are /were you willing to spend in
the attempt to bring out those who
1) didn't make enough effort to get out
2) may or may not be American citizens in the first place
3) may very well get out without costing further bloodshed

I have a feeling the "Taliban" intends to honor what they have said in regards to letting Americans and visa holders out. What is the problem is that the "Taliban" is composed
of many different competing elements who may or may not go along with that, not to mention ISIS-k who may very well kill anyone they can.

To blanket say it was immoral to leave any behind is
an extremely simplistic way to view things .
