resurrecting the program & bringing it back to respectability, taking us all the way to #1 in the nation, winning four B12/SEC division titles, building two *legit* national title contenders ('07 and '13), multiple top 10 finishes, the epic Arrowhead Border War that most fans say is their favorite game of all time, the countless memories, his loyalty to the program, players, and staff (sometimes to a fault), becoming the winningest coach of all-time at MU...
I could go on... but what defines his legacy is the crucial role he played in our move to the SEC. That's never been more apparent than it is now, as the Big 12 implodes before our very eyes. Make no mistake — MU would be in the exact same situation as KU if not for the position that Pinkel helped put us in a decade ago.
To put it simply, GP helped secure the future of Mizzou sports, and that's a helluva legacy to have.
