A logical thread of thoughts. He wasn’t able to accomplish any of the things he said he would do, not because they were too hard, but because he forgot about them or didn’t understand what he was talking about when he said them or had no idea how to get started trying to accomplish them. Which is fine because most of them were completely idiotic

He very much was a clown, to spin it nicely.
