The Taliban taking over was inevitable no matter who was in office and no matter when the withdraw happened.

Obama doubled down on Afghanistan rather than pulling out troops a decade ago.

Trump made the decision to withdraw, finally. This probably happens similarly under his leadership as well.

Biden delayed it, but went ahead anyway. Biden seems to have had no good intel telling him the Taliban was primed to take over the country.

Once we made the decision to exit, we should have removed all American non-military personnel and assets.

Then and only then, should we have removed US troops.
