nature. Today's Mises kooks have eliminated God as the source of their rights. The liberty espoused during the "Great Enlightenment" is Freedom from God as the final authority. That will never happen.
The perversion and abuse of the duties of the offices of government simply reinforce the awareness of the corrupt nature of man; and in particular, corrupt government office holders, elected and appointed.
The U.S. system of government, when applied with an even non-intrusive hand, does fairly well.
The problem is those putting their fingers on the scale to advance their own selfish interests, spoiling the process; do it mainly because they don't fear God, nor understand that His patience does not equal impotence, lack of interest, or the lack of coming judgment.
