and 80% of all covid cases result in long covid and possible neurological issues.

It's not covid I'm worried about when it comes to my kids, they're healthy and active, though my son did catch RSV at a very young age so that's slightly concerning as I'm not sure if it could have possibly damaged his lungs... he was so young when it got it, that was a scary time. But its the side effects of long covid that gets me.
