have bollixed up the government response to this thing from the beginning. The best virologists and immunologists are not clients of Tony Fauci and their advice has been ignored and cancelled. I've seen the graphs charting cases and deaths and the deaths haven't risen as these variant cases have increased. This tells me that herd immunity has been achieved.
