Do you believe that behind the scenes a bunch of SEC schools aren’t making their opinions known and heavily lobbying. There are also rumored to be private agreements between schools against adding members where states are already covered. Not a chance. We only need 4 votes. To roll over schools would create disharmony in a conference that gets along well and has model governance.

In addition, R. Bowen Loftin has said that schools from the same state have absolute sole veto power if a member is proposed from their state. He said it was true when he was at A&M and when he was at Mizzou that this was known.

Won’t happen.
