Drink is worth more to MU than he is to schools with rich booster networks that can now, thanks to "NIL", buy their recruits on a large scale – out in the open, without fear of consequences.
Without a highly skilled recruiter we'll have no chance in the NIL era. We'll become Vanderbilt.
We'll also need to be patient with Drink while college sports rides out this early phase of "NIL", until it's eventually reformed (when things get out of control, which could take 3-5 years).
