history. None of those things are new, they have happened relatedly through the millennia.
Non science people like you look at California and think it is some sort of green Paradise but fail to realize that most of the state is a desert and always had been. Flooding is natural but is one of the issues where man actually has a huge impact. We tend to populate flood plains because they are fertal not taking into account that the fertility is due to the flooding. We then take measures to stop that flooding which just causes more severe problems somewhere in the system.
I will put this in very simple words for you. Nothing you posted was abnormal for the planet. They are happening because they are supposed to happen, it is all part of the natural cycle.
