on their fellow man. He chose to arm himself, he chose to kick in the door to someone else's house. At any point he could have chosen to be a decent human being, he didn't and he paid the price.

The homeowner did a public service. What do you think his plan for the family in the house was? Most burglars try to get in and out as quietly as possible, not this guy.
