problem, The guy probably got into school with lower grades, and lower test scores then white students. To increase diversity.
Once in the school, he could not keep up and do as well as better performing undergraduate students. So he was applying for clerkships against students with much better qualifications. He didn’t get a coveted clerkship.
Today, we call that racism.
I will wager that some of the students who got the jobs that he wanted we’re just as black as he is. Only smarter.
I would bet my house, that as a black student, many of the judges to whom he applied were also black. He got one response, and that was from an Hispanic.
My other guess, is that one of his professors, the one who said he wasn’t in the top of his class, was being kind. He was probably mediocre at best. But he’s black and he didn’t get the job.
Racism.
This is probably another whiny, under qualified, under performing, victim of racism who will only succeed… And he will succeed mightily, by bltching , complaining, protesting, suing people, and demanding justice.
Once the standards are lowered for admissions, they must be lowered for grades as well. After they are lowered for admissions and grades, they must be lowered for clerkships as well. Once they are lowered for admissions, grades and clerkships, they must be lowered for full employment opportunities as well. And then to become partners.
“… he wasn’t in the top of his class.”
