basic narrative occurring in actual reality, please understand:
Trump supporters are neither 'R' nor 'D'.
Trump supporters are simply desperate to find ANYONE they can send inside the beltway who will do ANYTHING at all to help.
For decades both 'R' and 'D' go to Washington and do NOTHING for the people that sent them there. The government gets bigger, badder and more evil.
After a while, the electorate wonders if ANYTHING can ever be done at the Federal level. Can you send a holy hand grenade (in the form of a ridiculous caricature of an individual) and get ANY EFFECT WHATSOEVER?
Well, Trump definitely created some effects. He definitely outed our entire political infrastructure as one big viper's nest.
At this point all Trump supporters are looking for is SOMEONE ELSE (if not Trump) who can go inside the beltway and start taking things apart.
The entire government, including all the courts (including the SC) need to be shuttered and completely reset.
Sure, it may have to be done gradually, piece-by-piece, but there is nothing of value at the Federal level. There's probably nothing of value at the state and local level either, truth be told - but certainly the 'three branches' have to be completely freshened.
But in the end, all Trump supporters want and wanted was evidence that any progress at all could be made. Could a tiny chip be taken out of this ridiculous, out of control edifice?
We still don't know.
