And the fact that "many people believe" something does not justify an investigation. "Many people believe" lots of things that are patently untrue and that we should laugh at. Now, if "many people reasonably believe" something, that might be different. But here, no reasonable person believes that any cheating changed the outcome, nor is there a shred of evidence of that.
