Just saying that those who died are immuno-compromised and thus the vaccine was rendered ineffective does not explain why the death rate would be higher...since all of those immuno-compromised people have survived to this point and would have been factored into the normal population numbers. A higher rate means that there is something in the vaccine that is contributing to death...keeping all other things equal.
