Joe is pushing such popular legislation and is a genuinely empathetic, likable person. Every attack the right has tried has failed. Even in this age of political tribalism at max he is still receiving support and the attacks aren't landing. Which is bad for republicans. We know they aren't a good ruling party. They have no ideas besides lowering taxes and grievance and identity politics. But usually they are an incredible opposition party by attacking everything about dems when they're in power. It just isn't working anymore.
If HR 1 passes I would be very concerned if I was running as a republican.
