If a farm survived the Obama era of low commodity prices before Trump's trade/tariff war with communist China and then failed, it likely wasn't viable. Forcing heirs to sell off land assets to satisfy a 40% capitol gains tax on death in addition to inheritance taxes will destroy the operation.
