decriminalized, I would say no. If you ask why alcohol should be legal, I would say because just as certain drugs are not inherently dangerous for people (say aspirin), neither is alcohol. Others are (i.e., crystal meth). Discerning levels of threat is a naturally granted mental gift humans are given and that caring and well functioning societies have appreciated and rightly utilized through history. This is the moral aspect of society we have oft discussed.
