the US in 18-29 year olds. Let's for a minute pretend that those numbers do not skew to the higher end like divide actually does.

That would mean that 1000 college aged kids died in over a year from Covid. There are roughly 30M college aged kids in the US right now. One death out of every 30,000 is not a public health problem.

You are confusing public relations with public health.
