I don't really think we have an offense. If we can get a turnover and easy basket that's great. WE have no half court offense. Mark Smith on a wing crouched over with hands ready to receive a pass and jack a 3 late in the clock. Pinson forced due to a lack of movement to try to do more than he was capable of and a drive resulting in a block, a turnover, or a charge. Kobe or Mitch jacking late threes as well. An inability to figure out how to swing the ball consistently to get a pass in to Tillman. Dru Smith was the only one who usually acted like he knew how to actually play the game. I think he had basketball smarts as he is not a gifted athlete. We were a team that could not hit the three but pretty much totally relied on it. And no, I dont know the stats, but I watched every game and I know the game, it was obvious we arent well coached on game day.
I'm not completely throwing CM to the wolves yet, and prefer to remain "slightly" optimistic for the next year provided we pick up a decent 4/5. I appreciate all the players who come here and play hard, so I wasnt trashing our players. Heck I can even appreciate mediocre (a relative term) teams if we can play smart, don't beat ourselves and put out max effort.
The crazy turnovers, folks who cant shoot 3's taking them at a high rate, total defensive lapses, etc drive me crazy. I suppose that can be said for most teams.
