It would have taken a super lawyer to move any of the jury towards acquittal, and Nelson wasn’t that lawyer. Again, with what he had to work with, hard to be critical but I don’t think his style was going to get it done.

He was very unemotional to the point of bland. The video (which the prosecution seemed to play endlessly) was so damaging at face value, Nelson needed to create a counter emotion to try and balance things out. In the end, he didn’t and the video was too much to overcome.
