deputy in the summer of 79 and the river started flowing muddy and was coming up fast. We had to get upstream to the takeout at Greer and met a tree in the river swapping ends. Waited until it was parallel to the current and shot past it. Got to the mouth of Middle Fork Creek and that's where all the muddy water was flowing in. Apparently had a hellacious rainstorm in Willow Springs and we never got a drop of rain.
