has been ceded to the bureaucrats with zero oversight and checks on their power.

We learned during Trump's tenure that the different departments in DC answer to no one, including the President who, in theory, controls those departments.

When the government no longer answers to any elected officials it is no longer a government of the people.

The power is there to put a stop to it but too many of our elected officials make all decisions based purely on politics. There was once a time if something was wrong, even if it was working to your benefit, people had the integrity to speak up and stop it. That time has passed. The ends always justify the means in today's political climate.
