in challenging his beliefs to see if they are true. He is not willing to try to understand any worldview other than his own and why anyone would hold other ideas.

He just mocks and makes himself look stupid because he doesn't even understand what he is mocking, nor has he even spent time trying to even understand the foundation of his worldview and whether or not it is logically consistent.
