What we do know is he had a warrant for a firearms offense. Not coincidentally his Facebook is apparently littered with pics of him flashing gang signs, wads of cash, and guns.
he was also out on a no-cash bail for robbery.
we do know that he resisted arrest.
This very well might be a bad shoot and the officers should obviously be prosecuted and held responsible if that's the case.
But it very well might be that when he got back into the car he was reaching for a weapon or that as he attempted to flee the officers, one or both of whom who were likely at his driver's side door, were struck or almost struck with the vehicle (an assault).
Now, I'm not a big fan of the tactic of shooting into a vehicle to stop a motor vehicle assault. depends on the circumstances, but generally, I think it's better to just jump out of the way. But there are certainly instances where it's entirely reasonable to do so regardless of whether it's the best tactic.
so maybe EVERYTHING went exactly as would be expected given the circumstances.
maybe everything went wrong.
we don't know yet; which is why it's even MORE stupid to riot and loot. The facts aren't even known.
