Probably not. Hint: the vast majority get actual degrees and end up working with actual jobs.

There are around 4500 D1 players, 25% of them seniors graduating to play or work. Out of those 1,125 players 60 or so get drafted, and around 100 players play pro abroad. So 965 D1 players will move on to jobs other than basketball after college, with a large majority earning a degree to help with that.

These numbers aren't counting D2 or D3, so yes, the vast majority of players are students.
