You nailed it !! Thats the stark reality of the state of Mizzou basketball and the AD as whole. When coaches succeed, they do it in spite of obstacles put in their way at Mizzou. Most will usually come from a background and cultural system of winning and they immediately change/force change the culture. Drink, got rid of of anyone that displayed the “ole Mizzou Way”, ie Walters and brought in seasoned knowledgeable proven winners.
You can catch lightning in a bottle from time to time, but will always regress back to the mean if you arent built for long term sustained success with a supporting structure (administration) in place that will ask the question “what do we need to provide for you to win and win big”.
