as long as there are still schools closed and any cases at all, they can still claim that we're in crisis mode.

See the CDC's recent statements. The 60 minute fear porn on variants. Also notice Biden will not allow himself to be seen without a mask. All of this despite rolling 7 days cases continuing to drop off and at some of the lowest levels since this started a year ago.
