for almost forty years I have no wish to see them destroyed.
The benefits that females get from participating in sports are no different than those that guys get. It teaches them healthy lifestyles, they learn teamwork and get a sense of belonging, they learn how to work towards a goal, they learn spatial awareness and many many life lessons.
Once they get to about the age of ten when boys and girls compete together the girls get pushed to the back and the boys dominate. Part of it is physical because the boys become stronger and faster but part of it is just the differences between males and females. Boys tend to be more aggressive and competitive. If you take the best HS female BB player in the state and put her on any boys team that is competitive she will be riding the bench. That is just a simple fact.
If girls' competitions are opened up to anyone who wishes to compete then girls' sports are over.
