That's why, were their policies to gain popularity and be implemented, we would experience a short period of chaos followed by a very extended Dark Age, through which we would have to re-evolve back out of tribalism again.

The United States as founded is the best known way to have a civilization with the broken individual pieces that currently make up humanity.

Now, in some future time, where human beings have evolved far beyond their current spiritual state, it will certainly be possible to have 350M sovereign individuals living together with no need for 'government' or 'representation' as currently imagined.

The pickle cult makes the same mistake so many cults make in assuming that everyone else is like them and will behave like they imagine they would behave under their new system.
