Pittsburg State men's basketball assistant coach Jon Gilliam has resigned, according to the University.

In a message to KOAM, the University says, "Unrelated to the recent investigation, Coach Gilliam has resigned his position at PSU effective June 15, and is currently pursuing other opportunities."

Gilliam was placed on administrative leave earlier this year after allegations he used a racial slur toward the Central Missouri coaching staff when the two teams played in Pittsburg on January 12th.
