They were struggling before the decision to move to downtown KC and took the deal only because of incentives the city offered. While the building was under construction, they were bought by an Australian company with US HQ in Austin. I think today's announcement means what I've suspected all along, what's left of the company will consolidate in Austin (where they will likely be downtown).
