during the Quin years....Does Quin really not know how to select quality pgs and that is why we consistently get poor pg play each year, or does our system cause pg's to fail. I always subscribed to the latter.
Pinson may struggle specifically because after he brings the ball up the court in non-transition opportunities he is asked exclusively to penetrate following high picks where the roll is simply going through the motions and every other player stands stationary for most of the possessions. That isn't an environment that most pg's can thrive in. Other than trying to create space for driving lanes by using wide sets of below avg to poor shooters there isn't much in our offensive approach that sets Pinson up to succeed.
