It was a big story because people were without power for days in Texas for a storm that was barely a blip on the screen here in Indiana. We got 11 inches of snow, and it was cold for days. The difference was that Texas failed to winterize even after being warned to do so 10 years ago after a similar incident. People tend to lash out at politicians after these incidents, rightly or wrongly, and want to share their misery. It's only natural that folks got angry seeing Cruz fleeing the state when they had to stay home in the cold. Rational or not, people were criticizing him. Sheesh. Learn to embrace reality.
