school districts usually build in a few extra days to accommodate if there are snow days.
This year was atypical due to covid and remote learning so there were no extra days built in to accommodate snow days but the state did say they would allow 5 unanticipated days of remote learning (ie snow days but the students would have to still do course work remotely). Anything over that would require another day be added at the end of the year to reach the minimum days required.
This is why I did not ask if you had a snow day but rather did you have a snow day that required a day to be added at the end of the year.
Had we not had the snow day that required a day to be added at the end of the year today would have been my sons 102nd day of school.
