I have to say that I don't see Frank Martin doing any more than going through the motions in that job. He was always kind of a poor man's Cuonzo actually, where he got good effort and could coach defense and the offensive side was always not very structured or well coached. But we put up 93 points on them yesterday without hardly running any offense at all, it was one of our least structured or well executed games offensively of the season the opposition was just mostly non-existent. There was almost no away from ball movement or picking at all from MU, and we had no real focused approach.
Frank has been there 9 seasons now. They got a Final Four, although that was on an incredible run as a 7 seed after a 22-10 record. Other than 1 NIT season that is the only time they have made the postseason at all and this will be the 7 out of 9 seasons he wins 18 or less games. I get it, that isn't a great job. But if he can't at least get good effort and coach solid defense it isn't going to work at all under him.
