That’s more like it. Still, going 1-1 today leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

Krings kept an offensively challenged Ole Miss team down, looked like she would have a complete game win, but faltered in the top of the 7th, put the first two runners on, and Dandola got the save.

Wilmes is still on fire, went 5-8 today, 4 runs scored, 5 RBI. For the year is 12-21, 9 runs scored, 8 RBI, hitting .571.

Laird continues to impress, went 3-6 today, 3 runs, 2 RBI. For the year she is 8-16, 7 runs, 5 RBI, hitting .500. You have to wonder how long LA is going to keep hitting her in the 9 spot in the lineup. While there is some wisdom in having a good hitter in the 9 spot to keep innings going and get to your lead off hitter, it doesn’t feel right having Bailey or Raabe getting more plate opportunities in a game than Laird.
