I have been there a few times in last few months

I cannot really comment on the Spring Break stuff there last year, but my observations

- Not nearly as crowded and crazy as the press makes it out to be
- If there are crowded bars (seemed more like biker type bars), you can easily avoid them if you wish to avoid crowds
- There was a claim that he over-ruled enforcement of local ordinances..mostly related to masks. For instance, they could have a local ordinance of no masks in indoor places or public if not social distanced, but they could not fine anyone for breaking that ordinance.
- With all that, seems like almost all businesses had mask mandates, and reduced capacities of their businesses
