It is unusual. I did have a day of training on handwriting analysis in my former job, but there isn't enough there for me to draw a conclusion.
There is enough there to ask the question though. The structure of the "B" is troubling when compared to Jill's signature. But so is using is middle initial and abbreviating his first name, when compared to the provided examples.
It also matters what the documents actually are and how they were signed. People will sign things differently sitting inside at a desk than they will outside when being handed a random piece of paper to be signed on someone's back or something.
Handwriting analysis isn't a pure science and oftentimes isn't conclusive
