Coinbase is okay but will kill you with fees. Also, you can use Coinbase Pro which has lower fees. Gemini is legit but high fees. Both require KYC (driver's license, etc) to setup an account.

Binance.us is another option. Not as easy to use but cheaper fees and more crypto choices. Also KYC.

If you want to play around w/o having to KYC, you could use an exchange like KUCoin.
