I worked in public education for a bit in a non-teaching capacity. My experience dealing with teachers overall was good. My issues were with the leadership. Most, almost all actually, were totally incompetent at best, and downright crooked at worst. I wouldn't trust any of them to run my lemonade stand, much less what is often the biggest business in town.

IMO, public education is completely f*cked until they correct their leadership problem.
