Me~ So doctor, I'm 45 and healthy, please tell me why I should get the Covid vaccine?
Doc ~ You need to get the vaccine so we can put this virus behind us.
ME~ Will it keep me from catching the virus?
Doc~ No.
Me~ Will it keep me from transmitting the virus?
Doc~ No.
Me~ Will I be able to return to normal life without masks and socal distancing?
Doc~ No.
Me~ Will this vaccine stop the virus from spreading?
Doc~ No.
Me~ Will I be able to safely visit my grandparents in a nursing home if I get this vaccine?
Doc~ No.
Me~ If I get this vaccine and someone in my house get Covid, will I still have to quarantine?
Doc~ Yes, because you will still catch the virus and spread the virus, you will just be asymptomatic or have a mild course of the illness.
Me~ But I'm 45 and healthy meaning if I do nothing I will only have a mild illness or be asymptomatic. So why should I get this vaccine?
