This is what Mitch McConnell was too stupid to understand.

I posted about this a month ago, immediately after Trump insisted on $2000 checks in a vindictive move against the GOP: http://www.tigerboard.com/boards/view.php?message=17343985

At that point, the GOP had an ultimatum: go along with the $2000 increase, or lose control of Congress (and thus all of Washington) and allow Democrats to do it.

The GOP is full of fools.
