Mississippi game

Winning on the road isn’t easy. Mississippi is improving the quality of players on their squad.
Aijha got Mizzou started off well by canning some open shots. Williams was effective early too. It seemed to set the tone for most of the game.
Mississippi defense was really aggressive and tried to get turnovers leading to points. We did turn the ball over, but mostly they didn’t harm the team badly. We also took advantage of the defensive pressure by driving the ball for layups or kick outs to open shooters.
I have to admit I thought we might lose at halftime. We had a slim lead, had played well, and Mississippi seemed to be dominating the offensive boards.
Dickson, Dufficy, and Hansen really helped off the bench. Dickson is a fine player, she’s really good 1 on 1, and has really good court vision. She has to remember to stay engaged on defense. What I like about Hansen is she always brings energy, some nights she’ll score 15, and some she creates problems for our opponents on the defensive side. Dufficy gave some good quality minutes. Hopefully it spurs her on to become much more impactful.
Williams needs to stay on the floor more than 19 minutes. She’s foul prone right now.
The starting lineup played really well, Dembele has turnover issues, but you can see the talent.
