when it comes to identifying and reporting child abuse. In virtual you cannot spot those things, you do not have the one-on-one interactions that allow the child to tell you or tip you off. When this is finally over we are going to find that domestic abuse skyrocketed.
On a similar note how many potential dropouts were just able to disappear in the last year. Every school has dropouts but every school catches a few at-risk kids each year either through programs used to identify them or simply a teacher or coach that forms a relationship with a kid and helps them across the finish line.
The costs of the unintended consequences of our response are going to be astronomical.
