They are stamping down on stupidity, misinformation, and dangerous potential and acting domestic terrorists. It just happens that directly aligns with what one political party transformed into so all of those types of individuals are associated with one political party. Nobody is looking to persecute Republicans or Conservatives, its just that those words have evolved into being interchangeable with stupidity, misinformation, and dangerous potential and acting domestic terrorists and an overwhelming portion of those who don't fit that description left behind Republicans and Conservatives. Those terms have mostly lost their historical meaning.
