I think that is short sighted, Saban is exceptional HC

Bama was not getting all those 5 & 4* players before he got there....they had multiple coaches over a little over a decade that couldn’t cut it at Bama. He bulit the program into what it is. And they rarely fall flat in the big moment. Yes, they have lost a few, but outside the Clemson game a couple of years ago they are always prepared to play....and that can’t be easy when you have a team full of players that were each THE best player on their HS team. You don’t have to like the guy but to dismiss what he has done at Bama as “anyone could do it” is simply not true.
