Offensive efficiency. He has changed his offense since then.
Recruiting has to catch up with his change in offensive philosophy. It can work by going in one of 2 ways.
Sacrifice some athleticism and go after more skilled offensive players. Brookshire would fit here. So would Joplin, a guy they really wanted.
Or take the approach WVU had last season. They were just as bad as Mizzou last season on hitting jumpers, but got offensive rebounds on almost half of the missed shots.
I think you can be successful at both approaches without landing elite recruits. Mizzou is kind of in an in between space right now. Shooting isn’t good enough for the leve of athleticism on the team, so they have to make games ugly.
Both Tennessee and Cal tanked after him leaving because their ADs made terrible hires.
