putsch are synonymous, so I'm going to guess you are not objecting to the Beer Hall Putsch being called an attempted coup.
The act last week was a violent attempt to reverse the result of an election and essentially overthrow a government. That is pretty much the textbook definition of a coup.
So, again, coup is the correct answer. Intellectual honesty begins at home, and your home is not in order. I think you need to become more self-aware.
