choose, and I doubt any overseas options would have comparable infrastructure in the US which could impact response times and scalability (though I haven't checked recently).

Building their own dedicated infrastructure (in a robust, redundant, distributed, and scalable way) would be expensive, but definitely their best option long-term to avoid the risk of being at a third-party's mercy.
